Building positivity around devices Part 2

Here are 5 steps to support you building positive habits around technology:

Just keep remembering this isn’t going to happen immediately! 

Some children might pick this up quickly whereas others might find it challenging if they have a more addictive nature, this would apply to any activity they were doing whether it was leaving the playground, coming off a gaming app or going to reading a book!

Keep persevering and remember that what you model is what your child picks up on, so talk them through what you are doing when you are using technology e.g. I’m using my phone tonight to find a recipe for dinner, or we are going to a new place and I don’t know the directions so I am using Google Maps to help direct me there. 

Each moment is a learning moment with your child that you can embrace and support them in becoming balanced both online and offline.
